Kuari Pass at an altitude of (3850 m/12630 ft), is a mid altitude pass located centrally in the heart of Garhwal Himalayas. This trail was first traced by British Governor General Lord Curzon in the early 20th century and famous as “Lord Curzon’s Trail”. This classy trek route blends almost every variety which a medium altitude trek can offer. Connecting one valley to another, pristine forests, interior villages, vast expanse of Bugiyal are delightful to camp. Gradual ups and downs to the pass present surprise to the experienced trekkers too. From Pass the view is one of the best panoramas in the Himalayas.
The trek to Kuari Pass is thus connected with each and every elements of adventure that embarks upon often and on steep ascends and descends, narrow and tricky paths and gushing streams. Further, the journey is worth the effort something you will soon realize when you capture the picturesque silver horizon keeping parallel to the spotless blue sky.
The spectacular views of Himalayan peaks like - Trishul (23,496 ft/7,120 m) Kedarnath (22,994 ft/6,968 m), Kamet's pyramid of granite (25,595 ft/7,756 m), Nilkanth (21,767 ft/6,596 m), the square-topped summits of Gori Parbat and Hathi Parbat, Badrinath, the icy crest of Dunagiri, Rishikot, Changabang (22,651 ft/6,864 m), Kedarnath and Chowkhamba (23,522 ft/7,128 m) and the legendary twin peaks of Nanda Devi, (25,643 ft/7,740 m), surrounded by the majestic walls of the Nanda Devi Sanctuary will add delights to the trail.

Note: Normally Trek And Trips expects you to carry your personal luggage on your own, if you don’t want to carry your backpack so you can give it to porter, but you have to inform us in advance and have to pay Rs. 600/- extra per day per bag.
Up to 30 Days :- 90% of Trek/adventure program cost will be refunded.
Between 21 - 30 Days :- 60% of Trek/adventure program cost will be refunded.
Between 20 - 11 Days :- 30% of Trek/adventure program cost will be refunded.
Less than 10 Days :- No refund.
Any additional costs due to weather / unforeseen situations, will have to be borne by the traveller.
Our team reserves the right to change the plan in case there is danger involved for the group or whenever the trek leader deem it necessary.
Final word of the trek leaders will have to followed by all the members.
No show and trek changes/cancellation due to bad weather or natural calamity will be non-refundable.
Frequently Asked Questions:
1) No. of Trek Leaders / Guide accompanying the group?
One trek leader, one guide, one cook & a minimum of 6 helpers that makes a total staff of around 9-10 professionally qualified / locals accompanying 15 to 20 trekkers.
2) How trek leaders manage emergency situations. Do we have stratures, oxygen cylinder at all times?
Our all trek leaders qualified "Advance mountaineering course" from (NIM, HIM, & ABVIMAS) & trek leaders are certified in “Wilderness first-aid" and are aware of high attitude problems, and we carry whole first-aid kit and necessary medicines with our backpack & one mule and two helpers always stay with trek leader, and for better communication with our other team we use walky-talky. Oxygen cylinder remains with the trek leader and always with the group.
3) Are Crampons provided during the trek?
Yes, we provide crampons whenever required.
4) Who will lead and who all will go along with us?
Always trek leads by professional Trek leader who has completed Basic and Advance mountaineering course and certified in first-aid course leads and along with one local guide and supporting staff. Trek leader apart from professional qualification are vastly experienced in scaling variuos peaks across the country.
5) Is Diamox advisable?
No, Diamox is not advisable. If you want use so please consult your doctor before use.
6) If i am the only girl in trek, so is it safe?
Yes, our first priority is to provide the safety environment for all trekkers and the girls’ safety is of foremost important for us. We always create friendly environment between trekker. And other supporting staff is carefully chosen for your trips. But we would also advise you to take care of your own personal belongings.
7) I can’t carry my bag can anyone carry it for me?
Yes, But you should intimate 15 days in advance, so that we will arrange the porter or mule accordingly.
8) What type of food is served during a trek?
We always serve vegetarian food during the trek.
9) How to get safe drinking water on the trek?
Himalayan water is naturally clean but we use boil and chlorine tablet water for drinking.
10) I should bring my personal medicines with me?
Yes, it is always advisable.
11) What if we cannot complete the trek?
Most of the trekkers complete this trek. But if not it is nothing to be ashamed of. We keep safety and health as the top priority and do not push anyone beyond one’s limits. Even experienced trekkers never complete all of their expeditions!
